Within applications / websites you want to stack panels vertically and open up one panel at the time while collapsing the other panels . By adding a class “accordion” to a definition list this will be converted to an accordion.

I added the feature to change the “selected” class on other elements pointing to the same source. You can see the changes in the post made previously or on Snipplr.

Within applications / websites you want to show and hide elements based on mouse clicks. Instead of defining each “toggle” seperately you can use this toggle function. By adding a “rel” attribute to a link you can define a toggle action. This toggle function also offers animation as an extra.

The previous version was not working properly in Firefox. Now the slideshow has been updated and is working in IE and Firefox (please tell me if it does not work in a A-graded browser). Let’s say this is version 1.0. It was build using Yahoo User Interface Library (yahoo, event, dom and animation).
